AI for Brand Development

Use AI to explore brand ideas and workflows, while keeping your brand authentically yours.

Use AI to explore, not to decide

AI can generate a wide range of brand voice options, taglines, and descriptions quickly, which makes it a useful brainstorming partner. But your brand should still reflect your real judgment and your actual customers — treat every AI suggestion as a draft to react to, not a final answer to accept as-is.

Exploring brand voice and taglines

Ask for several different voice options (for example, warm and casual vs. clean and professional) for the same message, then pick the one that actually sounds like you when you read it out loud. Do the same with taglines: ask for 8–10 options, then narrow down rather than accepting the first one.

Describing your audience to get better suggestions

The more clearly you describe who you serve, the better the brand suggestions will fit. 'People who like unique things' is vague; 'collectors who specifically look for one maker's vintage dolls and care about authenticity and condition' gives the AI something real to work with.

Guided workflow: drafting a brand voice statement

Try this end-to-end workflow: describe your business and audience in 2–3 sentences, ask for 3 brand voice directions with a short example sentence for each, pick one, then ask for a one-paragraph 'brand voice guide' you could hand to anyone writing for your business. Read it over and edit anything that doesn't sound like you before using it anywhere.

A real-world example

A vintage doll reseller asks for 3 brand voice options for her shop description. She gets back: warm and nostalgic, collector-expert and precise, and playful and quirky. She picks 'collector-expert and precise' because it matches how she already talks to customers, then asks for a short brand voice guide in that tone to keep her listings consistent.

Steps to take

  1. Describe your business and audience in 2–3 sentences.
  2. Ask for 3 different brand voice directions with a one-sentence example of each.
  3. Pick the one that sounds most like you, out loud.
  4. Ask for a short brand voice guide in that chosen direction.
  5. Edit it in your own words before using it anywhere public.
