Step 9 of 10 · Learn at your own pace
What this means for your business
Your online presence should answer what you offer, who it helps, how to contact or buy from you, and what happens next. At first, you might only need one clear profile or marketplace listing. A full store or a custom app is worth it when it solves a real need — not just because every business seems to have one.
ChatGPT and other AI tools can help you draft messages and checklists, but you still need to check the facts, the rights, and the tone yourself — and never share private customer or financial information with them. Canva can help you make readable visuals. Shopify can support selling products and handling orders; Lovable can help you build a small site or app. The P.E.A.C.E. lessons themselves are free, but these outside tools may come with subscriptions, transaction fees, or paid features. Check current costs and permissions before you commit to any of them.
Use the existing tool lessons for their detailed outlines and guidance. Start with one specific job a tool should do, compare your options, and test the actual path a customer would take. Avoid collecting information you don’t need, and keep any accounts secure outside this app.
A real-world example
A doll reseller starts with clear marketplace listings instead of paying for a complicated store right away. They use Canva to make a readable shop banner and ask AI to help structure a description, then check the identification and condition details themselves. If regular orders justify a store down the road, they compare Shopify’s costs and test shipping and checkout before opening it up.
Try these actions
- Choose the smallest online presence that fits how customers actually find and buy from you.
- Write your offer, how to contact or buy, timing, and your key policies in plain language.
- Pick one digital tool for one specific task and compare its current cost and usage rights.
- Review any generated text or visuals yourself; remove anything overstated or any private information.
- Test links, readability, contact methods, and any order process on a phone before you share it.
